Some Unlocking Experiments on 04.02.13_G

I did some experiments on 04.02.13_G modem. Here's the result:

Using anySIM 1.2.1u

Non-OTB F/W 1.0.2, Modem 04.02.13_G - Works

Non-OTB F/W 1.1.2, Modem 04.02.13_G, patched 1.1.1 lockdownd  - Not Work. Activated but no signal

Non-OTB F/W 1.1.2, Modem 04.02.13_G, patched 1.1.2 lockdownd - Works

Using SilverCard

Non-OTB F/W 1.0.2, Modem 04.02.13_G - Works

Non-OTB F/W 1.1.2, Modem 04.02.13_G, patched 1.1.1 lockdownd  - Not Work. Activated but not signal

Non-OTB F/W 1.1.2, Modem 04.02.13_G, patched 1.1.2 lockdownd - Works

Update: With a properly patched 1.1.2 lockdownd, the SilverCard, TurboSIM, and O2 SIM are working perfectly. My SilverCard didn't work at first, I restored and retried, it finally worked, guess my head messed at the first try:).

There’s no software unlock for OTB 1.1.2 at this time.

I need to unlock 04.02.13_G. I bought it on 1.0.2 and activated it and unlocked. upgraded to 1.1.1 successfully and worked, upgraded to 1.1..2 successfully and worked, but then the installer app ceased to work. Tried reinstalling and nothing happened. When trying to upgrade to 1.1.3 found it impossible because the installer app wasn’t working. So I downgraded to install the installer app. again. However I was unable to unlock. Had to downgrade to 1.0.2 and somehow works fine. However I can’t install the installer app nor BSD. How do I upgrade it again and unlock it? It is currently running 1.0.2 unlocked and jailbroken. Thank you for your help.

You may do a full restore to 1.1.3 (which wipes out all your data) then use ZiPhone to do an easy jailbreak/activation.

Thanks George. In other words, since it never ran in 1.1.3, I need to “upgrade” it from iTunes, no worries about the data, and then use ZiPhone jailbreak/activate. How do I unlock it to have it work with a non-ATT carrier? Is there a special procedure to upgrade it from its current 1.0.2 to 1.1.3?

Thanks once again for you time and help.

Thank you for your help George. My previous upgrade troubles have shown a “pairing error” (whatever that means) consistently. Is that something I need to take into consideration with the procedure you suggest? When upgraded to 1.1.2 for the second time (the time it failed) the java app to jailbreak/upgrade never completed successfuly.

Do I need to upgrade to 1.1.3 through a special procedure? Do I do it through itunes? Is there any chance for me to screw things up and brick my phone? Is it going to keep its current unlock? (it didn’t happen when I downdgraded to 1.1.1)

Once again, thank you very much for your time and help.
