HP-15C was a great scientific calculator (it has been stopped manuafacturing years ago) which has advanced mathematics capabilities as well as sophisticated programming capabilities. Now we have HP calculator emulators on iPhone.
The HP-15C uses the so-called RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) system which is quite different, RPN system is very efficient in solving complicated problems.
The application: HP-15C Scientific Calculator
The handbook: HP-15C Calculator Owner’s Handbook
HP-12C was a great financial calculator (also stopped manufacturing years ago), there’s now an emulator on iPhone, it also uses RPN system.
The application: HP-12C Financial Calculator
The handbook: HP-12C Calculator User’s Guide
I’ve been looking for the handbook for HP-16C (a great calculator designed specifically for programmers) but no luck so far.
Another good choice is MACalc. Instead of being an emulator, it’s written as an native iPhone application. The current iPhone version was “inspired” by the HP16C programer’s calcluator.
The application: MACalc - Original Skin or MACalc - Penner’s Skin

I just hope there will be a non-RPN scientific calculator for university mathematics on iPhone, with 2d or 3d graphing functions.
I very much need to get the HP12 on my I Phone. I have tried everything think. I can get your program to load on my computer but not on the I Phone. Can you help me?
Thank you.
The attachments ARE for iPhone, and I have no problem installing them on my phone. Did you chmod 755 on the executables ?
will the HP12C app now work on iPhone 2.0? I’m very eager to get an HP12C app on my iPhone.
Does anyone know who built this application? I think he/she should publish through iPhone Development Center. I mean there are no other decent financial calculator on App Store and, truly, if there’s room for a Suck-O-Meter application, there’s got to be room available for a ‘useful’ tool. My two cents anyway…
