Variante 2 work’s fine, if you have installed Firmware Version 3.2.0 you even don’t need a reflash of the PRO firmware.

Hey I received my viliv with windows 7 loaded on it. but the cubeui will now work, it shows up for a second and then shuts down. I’ve loaded the latest one and it still does not work. and I can not figure out how to put the thing in portrait view. thanks for any help you can give.

Hi PRJ,

A1. I think you can remove the current touch driver, and install the new one downloaded from the link above (titled “HID/eGalax Windows 7 Driver 1.0.0 for Viliv X70″).

A2. Well, I actually have no idea because I didn’t even know it, and ever since I got my iPad, I didn’t touch my Viliv any more :)

Hello George, just found your post, very interesting. I have a couple of questions.

I have a Viliv X70 EX with 3G, it’s great. I bought it in July ‘09 with XP. Earlier this year I updated to Windows 7, everything works fine
But I used the standard screen driver, I didn’t know about HID.

Q1. How would you suggest I upgrade to the HID driver now that I have installed the old one ?
Q2. Have you managed to make ‘connectify’ work on the X70, it’s a reaaly cool utility to turn your 3G into a WiFi hotspot.
Unfortunately I can’t get it to work on X70.

Although I’m British, by coincidence I’m sitting in Shanghai at the moment and just found your website.
Returning to UK in a few hours.

Method 1 works fine for me on a TS209 II now working as Pro II all on firmware 3.2.0 (0622T). Great hack many thanks!!

Apple is a major BART advertiser (in the past they’ve plastered entire BART stations with iPod ads). Apple’s WWDC conference ends on Friday. It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here… I’m sure our ad will conveniently be back up after WWDC ends.

Any chance an iLiberty+ will come out for iOS 4?
It looks like it’s been on hold for the last couple of years, stuck at 1.x.
